Covid19 Lock-down Relief (Intervention): RMF Visits Essien Udim

The world got hit when it least expected. Coronavirus hit!

Many have died. Many have lost their jobs and with the restriction on movement by the government, people in rural areas who basically make a living through menial labour have been exposed to financial difficulty.

Several rural dwellers are ignorant about the modus operandi of the virus and have adopted false myths about the pandemic.

In light of their plight, we decided to reach out through a sensitization tour to help ameliorate the sufferings experienced in those rural settlements.

Our amazing volunteers were on ground in Essien Udim, a local government in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria to educate the villagers house-by-house with basic information about the virus while donating food items/provisions to the different families.

Many thanks to our partners (Excel Imagery, Platinum Innovative, Stevson_Auto, Lawrence Emareyo Foundation) and who all assisted to put smiles on the faces of these villagers.

We believe this too shall pass.
